It is said that the woman who was a fish monger used to
leave very early and return late to the house. The husband who had no stable
job would come back any time depending on the availability of work in town.
Basically the wife was the one providing for the house needs.
According to the neighbours they started suspecting that
things were not right after they observed the way the maid and the husband
related. The man would even help the house help with chores most likely to have
her in bed. The two would be seen walking to the market and this raised eyebrows.
On their proverbial 40th day, the woman left as
usual but somehow the person who normally brings her fish delayed forcing her
to return to the house. On reaching the house she found the door locked form
inside. She called the husband who lied that he had gone to work unaware that
the woman was outside.
The maid went and opened the door covered with a towel thinking
it was someone else. On realizing it was the wife she ran away leaving the
husband naked and waiting in bed.
The woman went and pulled the husband outside naked for everyone
see. She told the crowd that had gathered how foolish and stupid the man was
because he could not even provide for the family. The man pleaded for forgiveness
but she heard none of that.
Sources said that the woman pulled his private parts making sure
that they do not function in an attempt to teach him a lesson.
